Ryan Lavarnway came in as a pinch-hitter in the 11th inning of Tuesday's game vs the Royals and hit a walk off single with the bases loaded.
Lavarnway's last appearance was September 11 where he also appeared as a pinch-hitter and doubled. He doesn't need to be owned.
Ryan Lavarnway hit a pinch-hit double in Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals. He later scored in that inning on a double by Corey Dickerson.
This was Lavarnway's first at-bat of the year in the big leagues. He came in when the game was out of hand and is nothing more than depth at the catcher position for the Pirates.
Filling in for A.J. Pierzinski, Ryan Lavarnway picked up right where Pierzinski left off. In his first plate appearance of the day, the Braves catcher hit a solo home run that tied the game at 2. The Braves went on to lose the game in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off single.
Ryan Lavernway was a cheap option to get Coors exposure. If Pierzinski gets another day of rest tomorrow then Lavernway will be a great punt play for your line up.
The Orioles have designated C Ryan Lavarnway for assignment to make room for recent acquisition Delmon Young.
This move helps clear up the Orioles' backup catcher situation. If Matt Wieters isn't ready to play by Opening Day, expect second year player Caleb Joesph to get the majority of the starts behind the plate.
