Tyler Naquin went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs against the Braves on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Naquin now has just nine home runs on the year, so Thursday's power barrage was unexpected. He should see sporadic playing time with the Mets absent an injury but, as Thursday's effort showed, he can be a decent DFS option when he does get the start.
The Mets traded for Tyler Naquin from the Reds in exchange for minor leaguers Jose Acuna and Hector Rodriguez.
Fantasy Impact
Naquin is having a mediocre season, slashing .246/.305/.444 on the year with seven home runs and 33 RBI. He'll likely be largely a bench bat for the Mets, giving Mark Canha the occasional break and getting a start or two at DH. But this move is a net negative for his value given his downgrade in park and likely loss of playing time.
Tyler Naquin hit a solo shot off Steven Okert Thursday and had a sacrifice fly. The HR was Naquin's seventh of the season.
Fantasy Impact
Naquin still hasn't found his 2021 mojo this season and has struggled in July since being activated from the IL. In 204 plate appearances this year, he has seven HRs, 29 runs, 33 RBI, and .246 BA. Currently, he doesn't look very useful for fantasy purposes, but perhaps he's got a hot streak in him.
Tyler Naquin went two-for-four with a triple, two runs scored, and four RBI in the Reds' victory over the Cardinals Friday.
Fantasy Impact
The Reds pounded out nine runs, and Naquin was right in the middle of a couple of rallies. Hopefully, this gets him going as he's struggled since coming off the IL earlier this month. The veteran outfielder could find himself playing elsewhere down the stretch if the Reds move him, which could help, or hinder, his fantasy value.
Tyler Naquin went two-for-four with a home run in Game 2 of the Reds' doubleheader Thursday. Since his activation from the IL on Tuesday, Naquin has had three hits in eight at-bats.
Fantasy Impact
Fantasy managers and Reds fans are hoping Naquin can keep it going after missing the past month with a quadriceps strain. He's been a valuable player when healthy this year, batting .255 with six homers, 23 runs and RBI, and three SBs over 163 plate appearances. If you've been stashing him, he's safe to get back in the lineup against righties.
