Eligibility
The Cleveland Guardians have signed reliever TYler Zuber to a minor-league deal.
Fantasy Impact
The right-hander will receive an invite to big-league spring training, as well. Zuber hasn't appeared in the big leagues since posting a 6.26 ERA with the Royals in 2021 and spent the 2023 campaign at Triple-A Reno with the D-backs organization, working to a 5.23 ERA across 16 appearances.
Tyler Zuber (0-2) allowed an unearned run on one hit and one walk in 1/3 inning during Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.
Fantasy Impact
Zuber surrendered a walk-off hit to Manuel Margot in the tenth inning and was tagged with his second loss of the season. He’s taken the loss in two of his last three appearances. Zuber owns a 5.52 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and a 15:10 K: BB across 14 2/3 innings in 2021. The 25-year-old is used in high-leverage situations but is not worth rostering in fantasy leagues at the moment.
Tyler Zuber gave up three earned runs and two hits while recording one walk and one strikeout over one inning pitched in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.
Fantasy Impact
Zuber came on in relief of starter Kyle Zimmer, who was on a pitch count and only threw two innings before plunking JaCoby Jones to start the bottom of the third inning. Protecting a two-run lead, Zuber gave up two two-run home runs to Jonathan Schoop and Christin Stewart, respectively. With only two appearances in 2020 under his belt his ERA ballooned to 9.0 with a 1.33 WHIP. He isn't on the fantasy radar.
