Tyler Zuber records first career save Saturday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Sun, Jun 7th 5:00am EDT

Tyler Zuber struck out the only batter he faced in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, earning the first save of his major league career.

Fantasy Impact:

Zuber entered the game with the bases loaded and Junior Caminero at the plate and needed just five pitches to strike him out swinging and end the contest. While Pete Fairbanks opened the season as Miami's closer, he owns a 7.41 ERA and was unable to finish the ninth inning on Saturday. Zuber showed he can be trusted in a high-leverage situation and could earn additional save opportunities in the near future. He has yet to allow a run across 1.1 innings this season.
