Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to join the Mavericks

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Tue, Feb 11th 11:26am EST

Former Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has agreed to sign with the Mavericks, per league sources this past Monday. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Having fallen out of the Hornet’s rotation, the former number two overall pick of the 2012 draft received a buy-out last week from the Hornets. His move to the Mavericks comes after their release of shooting guard Ryan Broekhoff. Kidd-Gilchrist’s physical play hopes to provide a strong response to the West’s top-scoring talent for the Mavericks. He played 433 games for the Hornets and averaged 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds.
