Dillon Brooks still puts up numbers despite early foul woes

Dillon Brooks totaled 23 points (10-14 FG, 2-2 3PT, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist, and one steals in the Grizzlies 141-129 loss to the Jazz on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Brooks still put up numbers despite early foul woes in the Grizzlies' loss to the Jazz, scoring 23.0 points in 28.0 minutes while shooting 71.4 percent from the floor and 100.0 percent from beyond the arc. Look, his 31.0 point outburst in Game 1, although achievable given his talent, seemed much more of a sporadic outburst. However, in light of his performance in Game Two, his 31.0 point effort may be one of many to come. Brooks is a scorer, and as a scorer, rhythm is one of the most essential things to have when your main contribution is putting points on the board. He had three fouls early in the first half of the game, forcing him to sit, which could have been detrimental to his rhythm and mental response. Despite it being a hostile game environment fueled by the passion of the Jazz fans and the return of Donovan Mitchell, Brooks came out and put together a better shooting performance than he did in the game before. With all of the elements against the team, he still managed to show up, albeit in a losing effort, and help push back against a tough Jazz squad. I say all this to say; Brooks should be on your radar throughout this series. His consistency, upside, and palatable price-point make him a viable value play for your DFS lineups.
