Russell Westbrook III plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers once his contract buyout is complete. He joins a talented roster headlined by Kawhi Leonard and former teammate Paul George. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
The Clippers traded away the oft-injured John Wall at the deadline and were in need of a point guard. Westbrook gives them a capable guard who has the tools to run an offense, especially if he is tasked to take charge of the second unit when Leonard and George sit. According to ESPN, Westbrook has been promised a specific role built around his skill set. What is not known is exactly how many minutes he will play or how big of a role he will have. We will have to wait until after the All-Star Break is over to truly find out what his role will be on his new team.
