Gregg Popovich has signed a five-year contract extension with the Spurs. The Spurs lock in their long time coach for the long haul. (Shams Charania on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Popovich has been there to develop the likes of Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard into the franchise cornerstone players they were and are. Now he gets another chance to do so with the Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama. Having a stable force in Popovich will no doubt impact this young Spurs roster in more ways than they know as they develop their fledgling NBA careers.
