Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has won the NBA MVP award. (Shams Charania on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gilgeous-Alexander had been the heavy favorite odds wise so this is not a huge surprise. He led the Thunder to a league-high 68 wins. He also became the second player in NBA history to average at least 30 points on 50% shooting, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block per game. Michael Jordan was the other player who accomplished that feat. The next goal for SGA will be leading OKC to a championship after the Thunder took a 1-0 series lead over the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday.
