Caleb Love drains six threes in 22-point performance
by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Sat, Jan 3rd 10:07am EST
Caleb Love caught fire from deep Friday, connecting on six three-pointers en route to 22 points (7-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, and two assists in Portland's win over the Pelicans. The undrafted rookie out of Arizona has capitalized on the Trail Blazers' perimeter injuries, reaching double figures in six consecutive games.
Fantasy Impact:
Love is delivering top-100 per-game value in both eight- and nine-category formats, making him worth consideration in deeper leagues while Jrue Holiday and Scoot Henderson remain sidelined. As a two-way contract player, he's limited to 50 games and has already appeared in 27. Whether Love can sustain this production long enough to earn a standard deal before reaching that cap remains to be seen.
