Deni Avdija hot first half propels Blazers past Jazz
by Bruno Mulé | Trail Blazers Correspondent | Tue, Jan 6th 10:45am EST
Deni Avdija put Portland in control early Monday, erupting for 23 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the first half alone as the Trail Blazers built a 21-point halftime cushion. He coasted through the second half with the outcome already decided, finishing with a team-high 33 points (10-of-19 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), nine assists, eight rebounds, and four three-pointers in the 137-117 rout of the Jazz.
Fantasy Impact:
While turnovers and shooting percentages have hampered Avdija's value in category leagues this season, those issues have been less pronounced over his last three games. He'll aim to maintain that improved efficiency Wednesday against the Rockets.
