Fred VanVleet is opting into his $25 million player option rather than becoming a free agent. He will stay in Houston and try to rebuild his value after coming off of a torn ACL. (Shams Charania on X)
Fantasy Impact:
If VanVleet can get back to what he was pre-injury, which is getting harder to do as he ages, he should still be a vital part of the Rockets rotation as they search for a title. They looked a bit lost at times during the season, and VanVleet’s experience could prove valuable to their chemistry and ability.
