De'Aaron Fox says he will "likely play" in Game 5 against the Warriors on Wednesday despite fracturing the index finger in his shooting hand according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Fantasy Impact
Fox was believed to be "doubtful" for Game 5 but this is a positive sign for the 25-year-old point guard. He reportedly participated in a non-contact practice on Tuesday wearing a splint on his fractured left index finger. The former-Kentucky product is averaging 31.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds in 38.5 minutes through the first four games of this first-round series. Fox will likely have to pass pregame tests before getting the official go-ahead for Game 5 so check back prior to tipoff before firing him of in DFS lineups.
De’Aaron Fox (finger) is doubtful to play in the Kings Game 5 matchup against the Warriors. Fox fractured the tip of his index finger in Game 4 against the Warriors but there is hope he could still play with a protective covering on his finger.
Fantasy Impact
Fox missing Game 5 would be a huge blow to the Kings who are battling a surging Warriors team. The Warriors evened up the series at home, and now the Kings return to Sacremento in hopes of pulling ahead 3-2. If Fox misses Davion Mitchell and Malik Monk should see extra minutes.
De'Aaron Fox (ankle) is questionable to play in Friday night's game against the Golden State Warriors.
Fantasy Impact
Fox is dealing with an ankle injury that will jeopardize his status against the Warriors. He's considered questionable to play for right now, and the team will make a decision about his availability closer to game time. Davion Mitchell (knee) and Kevin Huerter (knee) will both be primed for more work if Fox is out on Friday night.
De'Aaron Fox tallied 28 points (10-23 FG, 0-8 3PT, 8-8 FT), four assists and four rebounds in 38 minutes of Sunday's 142-134 loss to the Spurs.
Fantasy Impact
Fox really struggled from beyond the arc on Sunday, but he still managed to turn in a solid performance. The point guard hasn't been scoring much as of late, going under 20 points in five of his last nine games played. Despite this, Fox is still averaging 25.1 points per game as he continues to lead Sacramento to the No. 3 seed in the West.
De’Aaron Fox (hamstring) has been ruled out and will not play for the Sacramento Kings against the Utah Jazz Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Fox left Friday night’s contest after suffering the apparent injury and will now sit out Saturday night’s contest. Fantasy owners should expect Davion Mitchell to be inserted into the starting lineup as a viable streaming option against the Jazz.
