F - OKC - OUT
Oklahoma City Thunder F Derrick Favors has opted into his player option for the 2022-23 season which is worth $10.2 million.
The Thunder will see Favors return for next season on his player option and hopefully it will mean he is able to remain on the court more consistently as he appeared in only 39 games this year. The big man is worth rostering so long as he stays healthy as the Thunder currently lack much depth to challenge him for the centre minutes. Thankfully for managers there is time before next season to make the decision on his draft stock as it is very possible that the team drafts a forward or centre to pair with the strong back court of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey.
Derrick Favors (back) will be out for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Wednesday will mark the seventh-straight game that Favors has missed because of his low-back soreness. The timeline on his injury is still undefined, and there's no real optimism that he will return soon. Look for Isaiah Roby to continue to benefit from his absence.

Tuesday will mark the sixth-consecutive game that Favors has missed because of his back soreness. The timeline on his injury is still undefined, and there's no real optimism that he will return soon. Look for Isaiah Roby to continue to benefit from his absence.
Derrick Favors (back) will be out for Sunday's game against the Utah Jazz.
Favors is dealing with soreness in his lower back that will cause him to miss his third-straight game. The team doesn't have a return date for him, and Olivier Sorr has been the key beneficiary in his absence.
