Eligibility
According to Brett Siegel, Thaddeus Young has agreed to a two-year, $16M deal with the Toronto Raptors
Fantasy Impact
After spending half of the season in 2021-2022 with the Raptors, the team has decided to re-sign Young to a two-year deal. During his time with the team, he averaged 6.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26 games. He doesn't offer much fantasy value in either category or points leagues and is safely droppable in dynasty.
Thaddeus Young is officially available to play in Thursday’s Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers as per the official NBA Injury Report.
Fantasy Impact
Thaddeus Young will play Thursday despite still dealing with his hyperextended thumb he has played through by in this series. Young has seen double digit minutes the last two games including a 13 point, 5 rebound, 5 assist performance across 30 minutes in Game 4, the last time this series was in Toronto.
Thaddeus Young is available for Monday night's game, according to Raptors reporter Josh Lewenberg.
Fantasy Impact
Young has been upgraded from doubtful to available for Game 2 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 33-year-old veteran big man averaged just 18.3 minutes per game with Toronto this season, but he could be in line for a slightly increased role off the bench with Scottie Barnes (ankle) out.
Thaddeus Young is considered doubtful for game two with a sprained left thumb. Young was spotted at practice in a wrap, but not participating in full.
Fantasy Impact
This is another tough loss for Toronto who got blown it in game one of the series. With Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent Jr. also on the injury report, having the veteran role player also in doubt hurts. The injury does not appear to be overly concerning, but it is likely he will miss some time.
Per Blake Murphy, Thaddeus Young will be out for Thursday's game versus the Pistons.
Fantasy Impact
Young has been quietly productive in limited minutes for the Raptors averaging 19.1 minutes, 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks. However, the veteran forward is not fantasy relevant at this stage in his career. Chris Boucher, Khem Birch, and Precious Achiuwa should soak up his usual minutes Thursday night.
