Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is going to miss the team's Week 2 matchup against the Cleveland Browns due to mono, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter. Connor Hughes of The Athletic adds that Darnold is expected to miss multiple weeks as a result of the illness. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

An illness like mono can sap a person of most of their strength and take several weeks to recover from, so even an NFL athlete like Darnold with access to the best medical care will miss some time. He is definitely out for Week 2 and likely out for Week 3, so this will be a situation to monitor in the coming weeks.
