Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa voluntarily participated in a medical re-check conducted by an independent doctor that was selected by NFL team physicians, and the results were overwhelmingly positive. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
Tagovailoa enters the 2020 NFL Draft as one of the biggest question marks after his recent injury history at Alabama, with the ankle and the hip. He’s certainly doing everything in his power to debunk the myth that he is an injury risk by volunteering to participate in a medical re-check. With all the positivity surrounding his health, it would be a shock to see Miami, with the 5th overall pick, let Tagovailoa slip past them with their need for a franchise quarterback. Many draft analysts have weighed in on the Tagovailoa vs. Justin Herbert discussion at pick #5, but all signs recently seem to be pointing towards the former being the best bet at that slot if healthy.
