Jaire Alexander has a career day in season opener

by John Lisella | Packers Correspondent | Tue, Sep 15th 12:47pm EDT

Jaire Alexander became the fifth player in the last 20 years to record a sack, interception, and safety in a single game.

Fantasy Impact:

After the Packers got stopped on 4th down at the goal line, Alexander came off the edge on a corner blitz to sack Kirk Cousins for a safety. That ended up being one of the biggest plays in the game with the Packers next possession leading to their first touchdown of the season. Alexander also added an interception to his stat line right before halftime which also led to another Packers TD. The young cornerback will look to continue his success next week at home against the Lions.
