Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, RB Saquon Barkley is still continuing his rehab from a torn ACL, but there is no definitive timetable for a return as the Giants take a long term approach. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley's return from a torn ACL he suffered in 2020, continues to be one of the most followed storylines leading up to the start of the 2021 NFL season. Currently there is no definitive timetable as far as a return is concerned as some believe the star RB could be back by Week 1 and others like Rapoport have a Week 3 target in mind. Most likely, the Giants will take a long term approach with Barkley's return as he is one of the most important offensive pieces on their team and quite possibly in the entire NFL. At this point in time the most likely outcome seems to point towards a brief absence from Barkley or if available being on a snap count. As far as fantasy is concerned, Barkley's ADP is starting to drop towards the end of the first round and outside due to this uncertainty. Despite this, when healthy Barkley is a league-winning, top five RB and could potentially be one of the steals of 2021 depending on where you draft him.
