Kylen Granson to be a featured pass-catching tight end, per beat writer

Kylen Granson has been very involved in training camp. The Colts' offensive scheme makes great use of tight ends and Granson has the opportunity to have a big year. (The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact:

Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox are expected to handle most of the blocking responsibilities at tight end, especially with left tackle, Eric Fisher still recovering from an Achilles injury. Granson has been used frequently in training camp as a weapon in the passing game and he has the potential to carve out a role in the Colts' aerial attack. Carson Wentz has a long history of targeting his tight ends at a high rate in Philadelphia and if the former Mustang can earn the trust of his new quarterback and coaching staff by avoiding drops, he could be in line for a big rookie season. He was an effective pass-catcher his last two seasons in college at SMU. He racked up 78 catches for 1,257 yards, which was good for a 16.1 yard per reception average. He also scored 14 touchdowns across those two seasons. In deep leagues and dynasty formats, he appears to be worth a bench spot and in redraft circles where some fantasy managers stream the tight end position, he's someone to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
