Zane Gonzalez suffered a significant groin injury during Carolina's third preseason game and is expected to miss an extended amount of time. (Ellis L. Williams on Twitter)

Panthers coach Matt Rhule gave an update Saturday morning stating that the 27-year-old kicker will see a specialist to determine the next steps. Carolina will begin trying out replacements for him before the start of the season on September 11. ECR had Gonzalez ranked at No. 30 for kickers, so fantasy managers can look elsewhere for better options no matter who Carolina brings in.
