Trevor Lawrence to undergo shoulder surgery

by Jordan Epp | Jaguars Correspondent | Wed, Dec 4th 8:25pm EST

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is expected to receive shoulder surgery on his "significant AC joint injury" in the coming weeks, effectively ending his season after being placed on injured reserve for a concussion suffered in Week 13. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After missing Weeks 10 and 11 with his shoulder injury, Lawrence returned to the field following the Jags' Week 12 bye. Unfortunately, he was on the receiving end of an illegal hit that ultimately ruled him out of the game and led to an IR stint; with his season seemingly over anyway (five games left for Jacksonville), Lawrence's team seems to be opting for surgery to better set up the QB's long-term outlook. He should be fine for 2025 and can now focus on health and recovery in a lost season in Jacksonville. Mac Jones is expected to remain the starter.
