Trey Lance starting Chargers' preseason closer

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Trey Lance is expected to be the team's starting quarterback entering their final preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 23, against his former team, the San Francisco 49ers. (Daniel Popper on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Lance started in the Hall of Fame Game before taking the backseat in preseason Week 1 (Taylor Heinicke) and Week 2 (Justin Herbert). Herbert and the rest of the starters will sit out the preseason finale, while Lance will play 1-2 series, Heinicke will play 1-2 series, and DJ Uiagalelei will close out the contest. Lance has had promising moments this preseason and could use this opportunity to push for the QB2 job.
