Emeka Egbuka inefficient despite team-high targets
by Bruno Mulé | Buccaneers Correspondent | Mon, Oct 27th 8:57am EDT
Emeka Egbuka caught just three of his team-leading nine targets for 35 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-3 win over the Saints. Egbuka and quarterback Baker Mayfield appeared to struggle with timing throughout the contest.
Fantasy Impact:
While the heavy target volume was encouraging, Egbuka failed to capitalize on his opportunities, including two end zone targets. One potential touchdown was well-defended, but the other appeared to be a drop on a contested catch. Despite the down week, Egbuka's workload keeps him in the WR1 discussion. He heads into a Week 9 bye before facing the Patriots in Week 10.
