Jordan Mason (ankle) not ruled out, 'longshot' vs. Lions

by Jordan Epp | Vikings Correspondent | Tue, Dec 23rd 2:25pm EST

Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason, who is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in Week 16's win, is considered a "longshot" for Week 17, though he has not been ruled out. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Mason ran for five yards on two carries as RB Aaron Jones Sr. led the way with Mason's injury. Even before the injury, though, Mason had been largely limited in his role, playing 30% or fewer of the offensive snaps in every game but one since Week 9. It should be considered unlikely that Mason plays, and Zavier Scott should be the favorite to serve as the RB2 and could steal some passing-down work.
