Quarterback Kyler Murray is not expected to return to the Arizona Cardinals for the 2026 season. As Adam Schefter reports, the Cardinals are hoping to find a trade partner for Murray. (Adam Schefter)
Fantasy Impact:
Murray was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 and then made the Pro Bowl in both 2020 and 2021. However, Murray's stock has declined since signing a five-year, $230.5 million extension with the Cardinals in 2022 and he played a career-low five games in 2025. In his seven NFL seasons, Murray has completed 67.1% of his passes for 20,460 yards and 121 touchdowns and has rushed for another 3,193 yards and 32 scores. Regardless of whether it is a trade or if he is released, it appears that Murray has played his last game in the desert.
