Tony Jefferson II has re-signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on a one-year deal. The contract is worth $2 million. (Jordan Schultz on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Jefferson finished up his 11th season in the NFL in 2025 and he established new career-highs in interceptions (4) and passes defended (7) while playing in 13 games - his most since playing 14 games during the 2018 season. Jefferson had an impressive stretch from 2014-2018 where he had at least 74 tackles each season and totaled 32 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, and 19 passes defended. However, since 2019, he has played only 41 games and was out of the NFL in 2020 and then retired in 2023 before returning the following year. Jefferson, who started eight of his 13 games last year, will likely be the primary starter at strong safety for the Chargers again in 2026.
