A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown likely to become Patriot after June 1

by David Leisering | Eagles Correspondent | Mon, Apr 20th 7:48am EDT

A.J. Brown is likely to become a member of the New England Patriots, on or after June 1, according to multiple sources. Conversations between the two teams are expected to resume on June 1, or shortly after, likely culminating in a deal. (Adam Schefter on X)

Fantasy Impact:

The Eagles are still open to the possibility of trading Brown and the Patriots are highly interested in bringing the star receiver to New England. Philadelphia has already brought in Hollywood Brown, Elijah Moore, and Dontayvion Wicks for depth at receiver and are rumored to be targeting a wide receiver early in the draft. If Philadelphia does land a wide receiver on Day 1 or early on Day 2 of the draft, the likelihood of Brown leaving certainly increases. Meanwhile, if Brown lands in New England, it would have a legitimate #1 receiver for Drake Maye to throw the ball to and every receiver on its roster, including newly-acquired Romeo Doubs, would drop a rung on the ladder. A corps of Brown, Doubs, Kayshon Boutte, and DeMario Douglas would, arguably, be one of the best receiving groups in the league.
