EDGE Nolan Smith Jr. has been extended by the Eagles as his fifth-year option was picked up to keep him in Philadelphia through 2027. (Jeremy Fowler on X)
Fantasy Impact:
After breaking out in 2024, Smith suffered a bit of a down year last season as he finished with just 31 total tackles and three sacks in 12 games. His sophomore season in 2024, however, proved his ability with eight tackles for a loss and 6.5 sacks. He also led the Eagles to the Super Bowl title with four sacks during the Eagles' postseason run. Smith has 10.5 sacks in three seasons and, even with the addition of Jonathan Greenard, should be a key part of the defensive front in Philadelphia.
