According to the sheriff's office, Smith was clocked going 135 mph in a 70 mph zone. Smith made bond and was released about an hour after he was booked. He has a court date set for July 14. This will remain a situation to monitor to see if the NFL or the Eagles has a punishment for him.

Smith has 10.5 sacks in three seasons and, even with the addition of Jonathan Greenard, should be a key part of the defensive front in Philadelphia.
