Muhammad Wilkerson breaks leg in loss against Bills

by Tom Woods | Sun, Jan 3rd 4:57pm EST

New York Jets Pro Bowl defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson broke his leg in the team's 22-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. He left the game in the fourth quarter after attempting to stop a Boobie Dixon run. Head coach Todd Bowles has said that it is likely he'll require surgery to fix it. Fantasy Impact:

Wilkerson is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, so it is likely that it will hurt him more in negotiations rather than fantasy value. If he winds up back with the Jets, then his IDP value will depend on his recovery. Still, expect a solid line from New York, because they drafted Leonard Williams this year.
