Keith Marshall

Keith Marshall could be a sleeper for the Redskins’ offense

Washington Redskins’ general manager Scott McCloughan stated that he is very excited about rookie RB Keith Marshall and could see a role for him in the Redskins’ backfield. McCloughan stated that he sees the Redskins' RB situation with RBs Matt Jones and Marshall as a “two-headed monster in the backfield”. (Warren Sharp on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

While Jones is currently the starter, I would definitely monitor the production of Marshall during the preseason. While it will probably take an injury for Marshall to supplant Jones for the starting spot in the preseason, stranger things have happened. If productive, Marshall could really hurt Jones’ value. Marshall is currently going undrafted in a large majority of drafts but may provide value later in the season. For now, I would look at Marshall as a handcuff for Jones or as a late round stash candidate.
