Ryan Nassib started and played through the third quarter with Eli Manning a healthy scratch. Nassib went 7-15 for a 46.7 completion percentage and accumulated 75 yards while adding 12 yards on three carries. He also fumbled once, was sacked four times and intercepted twice
After looking good in the first two drives with a starting offense, Nassib couldn’t keep the momentum going. He faltered down the stretch while playing with second-string lineman and skill players and couldn’t consistently hit receivers downfield or outside the hashes, resulting in his two interceptions. He also didn’t protect the ball while scrambling which lead to his one fumble. Nassib did look more comfortable when throwing the ball in the middle of the field. It will be interesting to see how he rebounds next week against Buffalo when Eli Manning is likely to be back and starting.
