Bobby McCain re-signs with Washington

Bobby McCain has agreed to a two-year deal worth $11 million with the Washington Commanders.

Fantasy Impact

McCain was solid for Washington last season with four interceptions, one of them being a pick-six. He was one of the lone bright spots last season for a Washington defense that drastically underperformed as a unit.

Bobby McCain signs one-year deal with the Washington Football Team

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Washington has signed safety Bobby McCain to a one-year deal.

Fantasy Impact

Before being released by Miami earlier this week, McCain had spent his entire career with the Dolphins since being drafted in 2015. Last season McCain started 15 games and finished with 46 tackles and an interception. The details of the one-year contract are yet to be known, but McCain immediately brings experience to a safety group that is still pretty young other than Landon Collins.

Bobby McCain inks four-year $27 million extension

The Dolphins re-signed fourth-year cornerback Bobby McCain to a four-year $27 million deal with $13 million guaranteed. The deal makes McCain, 24, the highest-paid slot corner in the league.

Fantasy Impact

McCain was Miami's best cornerback in 2017, earning a grade of 80.1 from Pro Football Focus, 47th among NFL corners. McCain is capable of playing outside but will likely remain in the slot as Xavien Howard and Cordrea Tankersly are better suited as perimeter defenders.

CB Bobby McCain signs with the Dolphins

Miami has signed their fifth-round pick, Bobby McCain, to a four-year deal worth $2.5 million with a $228,000 signing bonus.

Fantasy Impact

One of the most significant competitions at camp this year will be for the nickel position, and more notably, the starting cornerback position opposite Brent Grimes. McCain will get the chance to take on at least seven other defensive backs for the honors. If Miami can find a player who can handle man coverage, IDP players with a required DB slot should consider tagging safety Reshad Jones who should be free to roam the field and rack up tackles.
