Dri Archer
RB -
Week 5 Outlook
Availability
The Buffalo Bills have placed RB Dri Archer on the reserve/did not report list Wednesday one week after claiming the running back off of waivers from the New York Jets.
Fantasy Impact
In two years in the NFL, Dri Archer hasn't shown much promise totaling 63 yards during that span. In 2015, Archer was used primarily as a special teamer with the Steelers until he was waived midway through the season. Archer has zero fantasy value as his NFL career is in question.
Dri Archer was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills
Fantasy Impact
There is not much fantasy relevance here. Archer is a speedster and a home run threat every time he is on the field, the issue is getting on the field. As of now, Archer should not be on anyone's radar.
Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator Todd Haley stated that he wants to get the speedy Archer more involved during his sophomore campaign. Haley said that it’s “important that we do have a role for him†and to “have a little patience and let him continue to develop†throughout the upcoming season.
Fantasy Impact
Archer had just 17 offensive touches in his rookie season and totaled just 63 yards. He’s one of the fastest players in the league but his 5-foot-8 size could pose durability issues. Archer is off the re-draft radar for 2015 but he could be an interesting acquisition in dynasty leagues if the Steelers do end up carving out a role for him. Still, his production would likely be too unpredictable to trust in fantasy.
Dri Archer is a healthy inactive for the Steelers on Week 15 as they play the Falcons on the road.
Fantasy Impact
Dri Archer has lost his place on the depth chart behind Le'Veon Bell. Josh Harris is the RB to own for Le'Veon Bell handcuff needs.
Dri Archer is a healthy scratch for today's game against the Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Dri Archer is a small speedy rookie who has failed to impress on any level this season. Archer is inactive today for the Steelers and isn't fantasy relevant.
