Duke Johnson Jr.
RB - FA
Week 4 Outlook
Duke Johnson worked out for San Francisco Monday.
Fantasy Impact
The 49ers are looking for another running back on their roster with Elijah Mitchell recently suffering an injury. The former third-round pick saw limited action in 2022, tallying just two carries in one game with the Bills.
The Buffalo Bills released veteran RB Duke Johnson, but they have interest in bringing him back to their practice squad if he does not sign with another team.
Fantasy Impact
The seven-year veteran played five games for the Dolphins in 2021 and had previously been with Houston and Cleveland. He has tallied 2,261 rushing yards with three TD in his career but offers no value in fantasy formats.
Dolphins running back Duke Johnson Jr. rushed 25 times for 117 yards and a score against the Patriots during Sunday's regular-season finale. He also hauled in his lone target for an additional five yards through the air.
Fantasy Impact
After spending most of the season in free agency, Johnson joined the Dolphins and immediately indicated that he could fill Miami's lead back role. It will be interesting to see what type of interest he generates on the open market this offseason.
Dolphins running back Duke Johnson Jr. rushed just seven times for 49 yards in Week 17. He also hauled in two of three targets for an additional 16 yards through the air.
Fantasy Impact
Although Johnson has led Miami's backfield for each of the last three games, he hasn't had a strong fantasy performance since his two-touchdown showing in Week 15. Fantasy managers should view the 28-year-old as a high-end RB4 against the Patriots next Sunday.
Dolphins running back Duke Johnson Jr. rushed 13 times for 39 yards against the Saints on Monday night.
Fantasy Impact
Both Johnson and Phillip Lindsay saw 13 carries, but the former finished with a slight edge in terms of yardage. Going forward, Johnson should be viewed as a low-end RB3. He opposes a strong Titans front in Week 17.
