James White scores again in winning effort

James White carried 11 times for 40 yards in the Patriots' Week 7 win over the Bears. He caught eight of his ten targets for 57 yards and two scores as well.

Fantasy Impact

White was already entering must-start territory, and with rookie Sony Michel down with an injury this game, White would enter the automatic RB1 conversation if Michel were to miss time. Count your blessings and take advantage of White's uptick in touches if he starts leading the backfield. And of course, start him next week against the Bills anyway.

James White totals 82 yards in Week 6

James White rushed six times for 39 yards and caught five passes for 53 yards as the Patriots took down the Chiefs 43-40 in Week 6.

Fantasy Impact

It was the first time since Week 2 that White didn't find the end zone. He somewhat took a backseat to Sony Michel in this as New England was focused on abusing Kansas City's terrible run defense. Still, White saw enough looks to stay relevant. He is an RB2 for next week's tilt with the Chicago Bears.

James White feasts on Dolphins with two TDs

James White recorded eight carries for 44 yards and a touchdown and caught eight of his team-high 10 targets for 68 yards and another touchdown in the Patriots' Week 4 win over the Dolphins.

Fantasy Impact

White has seen an uptick in usage with Rex Burkhead out of commission. Both White and Sony Michel should be usable in most weeks moving forward, as the Patriots scheme a lot of touches for their running backs. White is worthy of a start nearly every week moving forward, with more appeal in PPR than non-PPR formats. Start him next week against the Colts.

James White finds end zone on SNF

James White carried four times for 37 yards and caught all three of his targets for 14 yards and a score in the Patriots' Week 3 loss to the Lions.

Fantasy Impact

White's ground game usage came mostly in garbage time, but he was still used more then Rex Burkhead, and was in the game in the high-leverage situations (near the goal line and two-minute drill). White has PPR value moving forward, and will be a solid flex play if Burkhead is out next week with the neck injury he sustained. Sony Michel is the clear lead back, though, now that he is healthy.

James White dominates backfield touches in Week 2

James White totaled 11 yards on four carries, but caught seven of his eight targets for 73 yards in the Patriots' Week 2 loss to the Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact

With Rex Brukhead and Sony Michel both active, but on the recovery trail from injury, and the Patriots in a negative game script most of the day, it's no surprise that James White led the backfield. This won't be the case every week, so treat White as a volatile flex play who will be used less in positive game scripts. He's much better in PPR leagues than non-PPR leagues. Keep an eye on Burkhead and Michel's status for next week before making any decisions.
