Kamar Aiken re-signing with Eagles

Free agent wide receiver Kamar Aiken is re-signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, reports ESPN's Tim McManus. Aiken spent most of the offseason with the Eagles but was released shortly before the start of the regular season.

Fantasy Impact

The Eagles have been scouring the market for wide receivers and even signed three wide receivers, including Braxton Miller, to their practice squad on Monday. They had also been in touch with Corey Coleman and Brashad Perriman but ended up deciding to sign Aiken. It likely worked in Aiken's favor that he spent the offseason with the Eagles and has some familiarity with their playbook. While the Eagles are desperate for help at wide receiver, they are probably not desperate enough for Aiken to be relevant in fantasy.

Kamar Aiken re-sign with Eagles

After working out for the team Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed veteran wideout Kamar Aiken. Aiken spent training camp with the Eagles before being released prior to Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

Philadelphia's receiving corps is quite banged up right now. Aiken, 29, is a proven pass-catcher who can provide depth behind Nelson Agholor in the slot, or on the outside. But unless more injuries occur, Aiken isn't fantasy-relevant.

Kamar Aiken signs with Philadelphia Eagles

Wide Receiver Kamar Aiken has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Field Yates on Twitter.

Fantasy Impact

Aiken made a name for himself in 2015 with the Baltimore Ravens when he caught 75 passes for 944 yards and two touchdowns. Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, and Mike Wallace are pretty much locks to make the Philadelphia roster at the wide receiver position, but after that, it is pretty much wide open except for possibly Mack Hollins, who flashed potential as a receiver and a special teams contributor in 2017. Aiken has an uphill battle to make the roster for the Eagles, but it would not be the biggest upset if he were able to pull it off.

Kamar Aiken shut out on Sunday

Kamar Aiken was targeted twice but did not record a catch on Sunday against the Texans.

Fantasy Impact

Aiken has just 14 catches and no touchdowns on the season. With a sub-par Colts passing game, no wide receiver outside of T.Y. Hilton warrants fantasy consideration.

Kamar Aiken completes a pass and catches two balls in Week 8

Kamar Aiken had one pass for 17 yards to go with two catches for 33 yards against the Bengals.

Fantasy Impact

Besides Jack "Baby Hands" Doyle, no receiving threat emerged for the Colts. Aiken is still not someone you should roster.
