Veteran tight end Noah Fant and the New Orleans Saints have agreed on a two-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Fant played last season with the Bengals and caught 34 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. He has 334 career receptions in his seven-year NFL career with the Broncos, Seahawks, and Bengals with 18 of his catches going for touchdowns. Fant gives the Saints two - sometimes three if you count uber-utility man Taysom Hill - pass catching tight ends for second-year quarterback Tyler Shough. With Johnson enjoying a breakout season last year, Fant will likely be utilized as a backup and in two tight end sets.
Bengals TE Noah Fant (ankle) is officially active for Week 17.
Fantasy Impact
Fant was listed as questionable to play against Arizona Sunday. He will be suiting up for the first time since suffering the ankle injury in Week 15.
Noah Fant is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Fant's absence wouldn't have too much of an impact on the Bengals offense.
Noah Fant (ankle) is inactive for Week 16 for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Fant will not suit up after being unable to progress throughout the week, keeping Mike Gesicki as the main pass-catching option at tight end for the Bengals Sunday.
Noah Fant (ankle) was upgraded to a limited participant at practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Fant was a non-participant on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, but he was upgraded to limited on Thursday, which is a good sign for his Week 16 availability. He remains off of the fantasy radar regardless of the status of his health, however.
