Raekwon Davis
DT - MIA
Week 17 Outlook
Former Alabama DT Raekwon Davis, pick No. 56 of the 2020 NFL Draft has signed his four-year rookie contract with the Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Davis will most likely start at defensive tackle for the Dolphins and provide the team with a quality run-stopper. He earned first-team SEC honors his sophomore season in Alabama. Davis racked up just three tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks across 12 games his senior year. The 22-year-old DL will play a key role in the Dolphin's defensive line rotation, but is merely a dart-throw in deep IDP-league formats.
The Miami Dolphins have selected defensive tackle Raekwon with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Davis joins Alabama teammate Tua Tagovailoa in Miami. The run-stuffing defensive tackle had a terrific 2017 campaign, totaling 69 tackles and 8.5 sacks for the Crimson Tide. His production tailed off drastically in 2018 and 2019, recording just two total sacks. He’ll have to work on his pass rushing ability in the NFL, but at 6’7” 312 lbs., he’s a force to be reckoned with in the run game and is an upgrade on the interior of the defensive line for the Dolphins.
