Todd Gurley II
RB - ATL
Week 17 Outlook
Todd Gurley II, who played through 2020 in Atlanta on a one-year deal, is not expected to be brought back in for the 2021 season according to Tori McElhaney with The Athletic.
Although this isn't official news, it is expected as Gurley's production and usage dwindled throughout the 2020 season. After tweaking his knee about midway through the season, Gurley saw just six carries for 15.7 yards per game over the Falcons' final six games. There's a chance that another team takes a shot on Gurley heading into next season. Realistically though, the days of being a featured back appear to be in the rearview mirror for the 26-year-old former 10th overall pick. Currently RB41 according to our Expert Consensus Rankings, Gurley probably won't offer much as a fantasy asset heading into his seventh season.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley II rushed nine times for 18 yards and caught his lone target for a 17-yard gain in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Gurley was never himself this season. While he salvaged his first half with touchdowns, his second half of 2020 was one to forget. He may not be on this roster in 2021.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley rushed four times for 16 yards while hauling in all three targets for 34 yards in Sunday's Week 16 loss to Kansas City.
Gurley totaled 50 yards in Week 16 on seven touches. Sadly, it was one of his more efficient games of the year. Gurley gets a tough matchup with the Bucs in Week 17.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley rushed one time for negative yardage while catching both of his targets for 15 yards in Sunday's Week 15 loss to Tampa Bay.
It was another terrible showing from Gurley. He's now managed fewer than 31 total yards in each of his past four games without a score. He is off the fantasy radar in Week 16 against the Chiefs.
Falcons RB Todd Gurley had six carries for 19 yards and caught 2-of-3 targets for 12 yards in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
I have said this time and time again this season. If Gurley does not score, he will not return fantasy value. That statement still holds true. Gurley has not been healthy, but he didn't exactly kill it with efficiency earlier in the year either. He is off the radar in Week 15 against Tampa. Gurley has not scored since Week 9 with fewer than 31 total yards per game in that period.
