TE - JAC
Week 8 Outlook
Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert (neck) has been ruled out of the team's Week 7 matchup with the Chargers.
Eifer aggravated his neck injury during the team's Week 6 loss to the Lions. D.J. Chark should be in line for all the targets he can handle against the Chargers.
Tyler Eifert wasn't targeted before aggravating his neck injury in the Jaguars' Week 6 loss to the Lions by a 34-16 score.
Eifert was a game-time decision on Sunday as he was already dealing with the neck issue. It would not be surprising if the veteran tight end sits in Week 7 and James O'Shaugnessy moves into the starting role.
Tyler Eifert is active and will play in Week 6's matchup against the Lions after missing Wednesday's practice.
Eifert has developed a decent rapport with Gardner Minshew II, seeing 13 targets over the last two weeks. He's a high-end TE2 for Sunday's game.
Tyler Eifert missed practice on Wednesday due to a neck injury he picked up last Sunday in Houston.
Although it's early in the week, I would consider backup options if Eifert is on your roster. With his injury history, you never know.
Tyler Eifert was shaken up in Sunday's game against the Texans and is questionable to return.
Eifert hauled in tree catches for 16 yards before being removed from the game. James O'Shaughnessy is the next man up and he showed a good rapport with Gardner Minshew II in 2019. Expect him to see additional targets throughout the rest of Sunday's game if Eifert cannot return.
