Ian Rapoport on Twitter is reporting that the Cincinnati Bengals have agreed on a three-year deal with free agent safety Vonn Bell worth $18M.
The Bengals continue to improve their defense by adding they’re third defensive back this offseason. Bell had a combined 89 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and one interception, last season for the Saints. Bell can be placed on the watch list in deep dynasty IDP leagues for now.
New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell is officially inactive for Week 16 against the Tennessee Titans.
This marks the second straight week that Vonn Bell will be inactive. Rookie safety/slot corner Chauncey Gardner-Johnson filled in admirably for Bell in Week 15, and is the recommended add for IDP owners in a pinch. CGJ recorded six solo tackles, two assists, two tackles for loss, and a pass deflection in Week 15. Bell is superior against the run, but with Derrick Henry is a surprise inactive, his absence will not be as big a factor as it would have otherwise been. A.J. Brown and Corey Davis both get slight upgrades with the Saints being forced to rely on their rookie defensive back.
Vonn Bell finished Sunday’s 48-46 loss to the 49ers with 12 total tackles (eight solo) and one sack.
Bell is currently second on the team in total tackles with 86 through Week 14. He should only be played in deeper leagues.
Vonn Bell finished Sunday’s 36-25 win over the Chicago Bears with eight total tackles and a forced fumble.
Vonn Bell now leads all New Orleans Saints with 46 tackles through Week 7. He is worth rostering in deeper leagues only.
