WR - PIT
Claypool is a good young player in a terrible situation. If he was on another team I'd be more bullish on his 2021 outlook. Instead I'm fading all Steelers. If they beat me they beat me, but the line and Big Ben scare me. Not much upside imo. For that reason I'm passing on him.
As college offenses progress and the coaching gets better, we're starting to see more and more receivers come into the NFL and make an impact immediately. No receiver better exemplifies this from last season than Chase Claypool, who was not high on consensus draft boards, but came in and absolutely shattered expectations. He ran hot and cold throughout the season due to the offense's struggles, but the talent is absolutely there. While Diontae Johnson should be Big Ben's favorite target yet again this season, Claypool's big play ability is going to lead to some fantastic fantasy performances. When it's all said and done, it would not shock me to see Claypool end the season with the highest fantasy finish among the Steelers WRs. My Very Early Projection: 63-948-8 receiving.
JuJu's return sucks some upside, but not all. Still, expect this to resemble an unpredictable 2020 tgt share
Claypool had a fantastic rookie year and he will look to build on the 183.9 fantasy points he scored as a rookie.
Accomplished the rare 2.00 Yards Per Route Run + 75 Targets Rookie WR.
