WR - PIT
Expert NoteView More Notes
The Steelers seemed to have their starting trio of receivers in JuJu Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and James Washington, but when they drafted Claypool in the second round, it threw a wrench into the plans of fantasy owners. He'll be in direct competition with James Washington for the No. 3 job, though I believe Washington is more talented and has more experience in the league. Because of that, Claypool should not be drafted.

Chase Claypool to primarily play out wide in Steelers' offense
Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner "anticipates" Chase Claypool primarily playing out wide this season.
Many viewed Claypool as a tight end coming out of college but the Steelers are making it known they plan to utilize him as an outside receiver. The 6'4", 238-pound rookie could present a problem for undersized corners in the NFL. James Washington appears to be the biggest loser in regards to this news as Claypool seems likely to start alongside Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
