WR - TB
Chris Godwin posted another stellar season last year as the WR7 in fantasy football. He set opposing defenses on fire as Tom Brady's underneath weapon, ranking eighth in YAC per reception and fifth in overall YAC yardage. The biggest question for Godwin in 2022 isn't talent but his recovery from an ACL and MCL tear sustained in Week 15 of last season. If Godwin is good to go, he's a top 15 fantasy wideout, but tempering expectations early on if he's limited or starts on the PUP pushes him into WR3 (or lower) territory based on possible time missed.
Chris Godwin ranked second in receptions (92, career-high) and eighth in fantasy points per game (18.1) while leading Tampa Bay with a 21% target share through Week 14.
Once deemed healthy, it's hard to envision Godwin not returning top-12 fantasy value in an aggressive aerial assault led by TB12.
Godwin has been cleared to begin training camp despite undergoing knee surgery Jan. 3 for a torn ACL. I still don't expect him back until week5 or 6. Maybe even longer if Julio can stay healthy.
Godwin is coming back from an ACL injury, but he should be ready to go early in the year and he is a WR2 with WR1 upside playing with Tom Brady.
7/27: HUGE that he's already cleared for camp. Seems unlikely to miss any time unless they take it real slow. Huge-riser, even with Julio now here to take some targets - belongs a tier higher if/when fully cleared
5/27 Update: Rumors suggest he's "improving" but "not close." Could easily see them take it slow w/ their franchise WR, including a possible PUP visit. Otherwise, he'd be pure gold & likely inside the top-10. Have to drop big time though.
