Big-bodied wide receiver who will be best utilized as a possession receiver in the NFL. Frequently used as a downfield threat at UCF, but won't be able to consistently pull away from NFL coverage that far down field. Decent route runner, but did not run a wide variety of routes. Good at slants and comebacks against mediocre coverage, but otherwise primarily ran 9 routes and posts. Average athlete. Is not overly twitchy or good at accelerating in short bursts. Decent hands. Good when wide open and very natural receiver. Struggles in contested catch situations with a defender draped all over him. Not overly strong at the point of attack. Needs to develop strength to be able to win in this fashion in the NFL. Average in RAC situations. Doesn't have the speed to be able to pull away from defenders and isn't elusive. Good release at the LOS and you can see that he's worked on that consistently. Release is best used in short passing situations where he can create separation and capitalize quickly before the quicker defender can recover. Doesn't have the athleticism to pull away after a good release at the LOS on a deep route. Excels at tracking the ball deep in the air. Able to adjust and control his momentum to pace and put himself in the best situation to come down with the catch. Struggles at the point of attack in these situations though too. Struggles with top-end speed and will most likely be a 4.6 type of player. Overall, intriguing big-bodied prospect that could be used in a role similar to Michael Thomas. However, needs to drastically improve his contested catch ability in order to convince teams they can use him in that role. Will most likely be a 3rd-4th round NFL pick and will have an uphill battle for Fantasy Football relevancy.

Gabriel Davis fails to catch a pass in Week 10

Gabriel Davis failed to catch any of his three targets in the Bills' Week 10 loss to the Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact

Davis totaled 70 receiving yards against the Seahawks last week but remains the team's No. 4 wideout when everyone is healthy. Davis is a dynasty bench stash entering Buffalo's Week 11 bye.
