View More NotesIn a Week 1 surprise, Kendre Miller had as many carries for the Saints as big-money free agent Travis Etienne. Miller carried nine times for 30 yards and scored the Saints' first touchdown in their 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions. He wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Alvin Kamara was inactive in Week 1 as he continues to recover from an MCL sprain. He could be back in Week 2, cutting into Miller's snaps. As it was, Miller only played 26 of the Saints' 90 (!) offensive snaps. Miller isn't poised to steal anyone's job, but he's a talented player whose career has been stalled by injuries.
Miller almost went into the Fool's Gold section of this article, but he's a defensible dart throw in deep leagues.
