View More NotesMarcus Mariota will draw the start for Washington this week after Jayden Daniels' injury last week. Mariota could be their starting quarterback for the rest of the season. Last year, in his seven full games started, Mariota finished as a QB1 three times (QB6, QB9, QB3). In those seven games, Mariota averaged 6.4 rushing attempts and 36.7 rushing yards. He added only one rushing score from those games. Last season, among 38 qualifying passers, Mariota ranked 11th in yards per attempt, 26th in passing success rate, 27th in highly accurate throw rate, and sixth in hero throw rate. I don't expect a big day for Mariota in Week 3 against arguably the best pass defense in the NFL. Seattle has allowed the eighth-fewest EPA per dropback, the seventh-lowest passing success rate, and the second-lowest explosive passing rate. Mariota is a low-end QB2 for Week 3.
