Frederik Andersen shines in win over Coyotes

by Brendan Ballantyne | Hurricanes Correspondent | Thu, Nov 21st 11:42pm EST

Frederik Andersen stopped 30 of 31 shots thrown his way, guiding the Maple Leafs to a 3-1 victory in Arizona on Thursday. The Danish netminder boosted his record on the season to 10-5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

It was an excellent all around performance from Andersen, with his only blemish robbing him of his shutout bid with just 16 seconds remaining in the game. Certainly a little frustrating with how close that was, but fantasy owners should be more than happy with this showing from Andersen as it snapped his 0-3-1 skid. The Leafs looked like an energized and organized team under new Head Coach, Sheldon Keefe so this is a good sign for Andersen moving forward. He'll carry his .917 SV% and 2.61 GAA into his next opportunity on Saturday against the Avalanche.
